Random Snaps of Digital Camera Gratification...

I am heading off on a bit of business and part fun sojourn...Queensland, Great Barrier Reef and her associated towns and islands. The sea. Storylines, animals, music and the sea.

You never know what can happen if you don't try.

I think photography for me is like a moving meditation, an opportunity to wander off, capturing, in time, the wonders of our world, immediate environment and nature.
The picture two above is our ghost gumtrees, (eucalyptus), the bark never fails to remind me of a sort of skin.
The bird, I think is a White Ibis. (We have them living on our big house dam).
Honeyeaters, would have to be one of my favorite birds, their calls are so musical and cheeky.

I have a feeling there wont be any dust storms where I'm headed. :) Sharks, maybe, but no dust.

Sweet Juliet..
Ciao for now, but I'll be back and bring my impressions and pictures of one of the world's seven natural wonders. ...
Latro! Fremo!

Your photos always make me smile! Those silly dogs of yours!
I know what you mean about a moving meditation. I feel the same way. I want to capture the beauty of the world to share with others. Sad to say, some people cant see that beauty.

Gorgeous photos, Pam. What a varied landscape you live in, with creatures we only see on tv. Lovely to see them all through your lens.

Enjoy your little sojourn and don't let any sharks take a chomp out of you or you'll become the subject of one of Donnnnn's posts! And you know he would want photographic evidence.....

I love the dog photos you manage to take, like the first one leaping so energetically. All the photos are inspiration to me of a land so far away.

Have a safe trip and I'll be anticipating the photos you will be posting.

Love your work, or is that play? The pics of all the animals are a continual source of joy. As all your pics are. The dogs kill me!

I gasp and drool over your photos. A moving meditation, YES. You have the most wondrous eye and the rare ability to bring everything you aim your camera at to full and brimming life.

I wish I could accompany you in your travels, not only because I have always yearned to see the Great Barrier Reef, but because I would love to see the world through your eyes.

A good and safe trip, Pam! (Mate.)
